THE PALM BEACH HARLEY OWNERS GROUP HOSTS 3RD ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY FOR CHILDREN CARED FOR BY HOSPICE OF PALM BEACH COUNTY
West Palm Beach, FL (December 2008)… The Palm Beach Harley Owners Group recently hosted their 3rd Annual Holiday Party for children who have been cared for through the John J. Brogan Horizons Bereavement Center, a program of Hospice of Palm Beach County. The event was held at Strike Force Bowling in Lake Worth where children and their parents enjoyed bowling, treats and a visit from Santa who arrived on a Harley. Each child received a Target gift card and stuffed animals donated by club members.
According to The Palm Beach Harley Owners Group Charity Fundraising Officer, Gail Wiles:
“Our Palm Beach Harley Owners Group is fortunate to be able to give in some way to the services Hospice of Palm Beach County provides to our community, especially when it has to do with kids and this special time of year. The parents were thrilled and we even opened it up to others who were at Strike Force that day! One gentleman came up to me and asked if it we would mind if his little girl participated. It was great fun.” She also said: “We’re a riding club, but we want to give back to our community as citizens. Everyone in the club steps up to give at this time of year. Everything donated is from club members, the gift cards and stuffed animals, the party, the food; people really stepped up.”
